GON BIRAN

 

Born in Israel in 1991, Gon studied dance at the Democratic School in Hadera. He joined Batsheva Ensemble, 2008 until 2011, performing the works of Ohad Naharin and Eyal | Behar, and partaking in their creation of Petrushka. In 2012, he was a guest artist with Oldenburg Dance Company in Germany for Eyal | Behar’s work, Plafona. 

He is a recipient of the 2007 Sharett Scholarship for achievement in choreography and modern dance.


DARREN DEVANEY


Darren Devaney was born in Edmonton, Canada where he attended Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts. Continuing his studies at The Boston Conservatory, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance performance and performed works by Jose Limon, Anthony Tudor, and Anna Sokolow.
 Upon the completion of his education, he moved to San Francisco where he freelanced with Zhukov Dance Theatre and Robert Moses' Kin. After four seasons, he recently left Ballet BC where he had the opportunity to perform works by Medhi Walerski, Johan Inger, Jorma Elo, Gustavo Ramirez, Cayetano Soto, Emily Molnar, and William Forsythe. 


REBECCA HYTTING

 

Born in Huskvarna, Sweden in 1982, Rebecca graduated from Balettakademien, Stockholm. After finishing her studies she worked with Kamuyot/Rikste- atern, Carte Blanche Dance Company, Norway, Batsheva Ensemble, Batsheva Dance Company and GöteborgsOperans Danskompani. 

During her time with Batsheva and Ohad Naharin she studied GAGA and is now a certified teacher. 


LÉO LÉRUS


Born in Guadeloupe, 1980, he studied contemporary dance at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, and then worked with a variety of companies such as Skånes Dansteater (Sweden), Carte Blanche Company (Norway), Random Dance Company/Wayne McGregor (England), Batsheva Dance Company (Israel), Winterguests/Alan Øyen (Norway). Léo is also an independent creator. 


KEREN LURIE PARDES

 

Born in the USA in 1991, Keren Lurie Pardes attended the Arts High School in Jerusalem. She is a graduate of the "Maslool" - Professional Dance Program of Bikurey Ha'Itim, directed by Naomi Perlov and Offir Dagan. Keren joined the Batsheva Ensemble as a trainee (2010-11), where she participated in a project by Idan Sharabi. 

Later as a member of the Batsheva Ensemble (2011-13) she took part in the works of Ohad Naharin, and Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar in “Lost Cause” among others. 


MARIKO KAKIZAKI


Born in Kagawa, Japan in 1988. Dancing in LEV dance company since 2014. Took part in ensemble Batsheva dance company 2012-2014. Trained in rhythmic gymnastics during childhood and started dancing when she met Shintaro Hirahara during university period. Won the first-place of the Korea International modern Dance competition in 2011, and Kagawa Prefectural Art Newcomer Award in 2013.


DANIEL NORGREN-JENSEN


Born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1990. Daniel began his training at the Swedish Ballet School in Malmö, Sweden, then went on to study at the National Ballet School in Toronto, Canada as well as the Royal Ballet School in London, England. Upon graduation he joined the Royal Swedish Ballet where he is currently employed as a Principal Dancer. 
Daniel is also the Associate Director of the dance group Stockholm 59° North.

CLYDE EMMANUEL ARCHER


Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Barbados, W.I. He began dancing in NYC at The BalletTech school (formerly Feld Ballet/The New Ballet School) and later attended The Professional Performing Arts School while simultaneously training at The Ailey School. In 2001, He received his BFA from The Juilliard School, under the direction of Benjamin Harkarvy. Clyde is also recipient of the Princess Grace Award.

Professionally he has worked with The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Compañía Nacional de Danza, Göteborg Ballet, Cullberg Ballet, The Royal Swedish Ballet, La Veronal, and Sasha Waltz & Guest.
